The "Subject Schlern" already takes place for the 8th time in the King Laurin Snowpark on the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm. Even if it attracts pro-snowboarders, everybody can join the race. Newcomers can proof their abilities and compete with the pros.

Galloping into the Middle Ages: the last weekend of May, the villages surrounding the Alpe di Siusi are dedicated to the biggest horseback riding festival in South Tyrol. A total of 36 teams face the challenging competition games of the Oswald von Wolkenstein Riding Tournament. Besides the competition, medieval festivities with historical bands, jugglers, fire-eaters and flag wavers take us back to the times of knights and damsels.

• Friday, 28 May: big medieval festival in the historical centre of Castelrotto
• Saturday, 29 May: ceremonial entry of the teams on horseback, accompanied by historical teams and bands
• Sunday, 30 May: from race to race, followed by the awards ceremony at Presule Castle

Every five years the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm invites the International Festival of the alpine horn players. At Bullaccia/Puflatsch, there are not only representatives of nations, where this kind of music is a traditional one, but also ensembles from France and even from Japan will join. A sound of freedom and brotherhood will ring at 6 am on the very Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm, in Castelrotto/Kastelruth, Siusi/Seis and Fiè/Völs. At 11 a.m , all participants and their fans will meet at Bullaccia/Puflatsch, for a holy mass.
